- Using the face detection & recognition technology to query images by human face. An easy-to-use functionality is developed to help user building their face database.
- Find the Photo Focus based on saliency points and faces detected. Compare to the traditional way of creating thumbnails by direct scaling, two approaches are proposed to thumbnail images (called Smart Thumbnail).
- Photo similarity calculation based on the MPEG-7 descriptors and the proposed Face Detection descriptor. This can help user find the relative images and automatically group the similar photos when browsing.
