2009.4.5-4.12: Attend SIGCHI 2009 Conference
This is my first time to join the SIGCHI conference. This is also my first international presentation, and my first full paper. The conference is held in Boston, USA. It is a very beautiful place. I visited the MIT Media Lab, CSAIL, and Design Continuum Studio. Thanks for my friends' arrangement. I also passed by NY. The city has lots of majestic buildings. I love them. Of course, I visited the famous Statue of Liberty.
2008.12.9-12.14: Visit SIGGRAPH Asia 08 Conference
This is my first time to join the SIGGRAPH conference. It is held in Suntec City, in Singapore, which is not far away from Taiwan. I listened some great paper presentations and watched the great movies in the Electronic Movie Theatre. I also visited the E-Tech & Art Gallery. I like some ideas which are novel and brilliant. I heard that SIGGRAPH America is 6 times bigger than SIGGRAPH Asia. I wish that I can visit the conference next year. Btw, I also visited the famous Perlion Tower in Sentosa Island.
2008.09.19: CHI09 Paper Sumit
Robin, S.J. and I submitted our work to
CHI 2009, which is our first time. The project is called SmartPlayer,
which will learn user's preferences of speed and events.
2008.9.5-2008.9.7: Climb Mt. Morrison
I came to climb the Mt. Morrison with my friends. The height is 3952 M. We saw the sunrise on the toppest mountain in Taiwan. The sky is clear and the scene is beautiful. You can enjoy the sunrise photos from here and other photos from here, which are taken by my friend Rick.
2008.4.28: Build Multitouch Platform
Referring
to NUI group, I made my first multitouch platform. I felt very
excited about this new kind of technology and user interface. I am
fascinated by this interaction method.
